Direct Free Kick. Red number 8 takes the free kick over the wall and to the near post.
Red number 1 takes the goal kick with a long ball towards the middle of the pitch, where red number 9 heads it on to number 11´s forward run.
Red player number 9 kicks off with number 11, who passes back to red number 8.
After a short 5-metre run up, red number 8 takes the penalty with the inside of his right foot. He hits a strong, low and well-placed shot close to the goalkeeper´s left post.
Red number 7 supports the player about to take the throw-in. The space he has left empty is taken up by red number 8 with a forward run to lose his marker. Red number 2 takes the throw-in into the path of number 8´s run.
The aim of this wall is to protect the part of the goal around the post closest to the spot from which the free kick will be taken, which is the most unprotected part. This way, the goalkeeper can concentrate on protecting the rest of the goal.
Defending a corner. Man-to-man marking with players next to both posts
Number 7 takes a corner from the left wing with his right foot. He swings the ball in towards the penalty spot, where number 5 rises and heads on goal thanks to number 8, who blocks the blue player who was marking number 5: blue number 21.
Red number 7 takes an indirect free kick from the left wing. He crosses the ball to the near post, where numbers 8, 10 and 11 try to head the ball on goal. Finally, it is number 10 who succeeds.
